The Henrietta Banting Breast Centre has one of the world's largest databases documenting the experiences of women with breast cancer. Using this database, researchers can study how different treatment and lifestyle factors make a difference in a woman's cancer outcomes. Working with academic researchers like those at the Familial Breast Cancer Research Unit, the Henrietta Banting Breast Cancer Centre also houses the world's largest storehouse of information about the experiences of families where a high risk of breast cancer is inherited.
