New website launched for online curricula addressing violence

February 2016

Experts at Women’s College Hospital have launched a newly designed website for hosting free evidence-informed, interactive curricula on intimate partner abuse and sexual violence.

The curricula have been designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and practices of health and allied health providers who work with patients or clients who have experienced violence and abuse. More than 10,000 individuals have registered to use at least one of the programs.

The most recent curriculum added to the website is called Addressing Past Sexual Assault in Clinical Settings and was developed by Robin Mason, PhD, and Janice Du Mont, EdD, scientists at Women’s College Research Institute, as well as Sheila Macdonald, MN, provincial coordinator for the Ontario Network of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centres.
