Dr Kymm Feldman is an assistant professor in the department of family and community medicine at the University of Toronto, where she serves as pre-clerkship director. She is also the director of the Women's Health Scholar Program, a 3rd year fellowship program in the department of family and community medicine.
Research and Academic Interests:
Much of Dr. Feldman's research activity aims to improve the recruitment and
training of family physicians. She is currently a co-investigator on a Health
Canada-funded study exploring how Canadian medical students make their career
choices. She just completed a literature review on the factors related to the
decline of students choosing family medicine and is also evaluating the impact
of initiatives aimed at increasing student interest in family medicine such as
Family Medicine Observership Week. She is currently principal investigator on
another study looking at the impact of interest groups on the practice of
family medicine. Dr. Feldman also has a research interest in complementary
therapies.
