Women’s Xchange hosts event to build capacity among women’s health researchers

December 2014

On November 14, Women’s Xchange hosted its fall event, “Bringing Research to Life Using Innovative Multimedia Approaches.”

Featuring Dr. Mike Evans, Vrenia Ivonoffski, Liam O'Rinn, and Nancy Viva Davis—experts in communicating research through video, theatre and photography—the sold-out event attracted researchers and trainees, $15K Challenge award recipients, and community groups from across the province.

“The goal of the event was to build capacity in women’s health researchers and expand their knowledge translation toolboxes,” says Dr. Paula Rochon, lead of Women’s Xchange and vice-president of research at WCH. “Our excellent panel of speakers showed us how we can all use various interactive, engaging approaches to effectively share our research findings with a wide audience.”
